Snow in March

Ok so another blog about the crazy weather we get in Texas!! It's nearly 80F on Saturday and Sunday! Monday they are calling for a significant drop in temperature and precipitation of the white kind. Yeah right most of us say, because it usually misses us. I have been in bed all weekend sick but manage to get out of the house for a PTA meeting. While I'm there the sleet starts and it was crazy, ok looking like they might be right. The girls were very excited at the possibility of seeing snow let alone the actual idea of it being enough to play in! So we go to bed expecting very little, you know the usual a dusting! We were wrong in our expectations, we got covered with a couple of inches of snow at least. Since the sleet feel first the roads were a mess so school was delayed 2 hours. So of course that means play time, only mom was still feeling very bad. Kierstin was already coughing and Adrienne had a state education test the next day, no need to cause illness just because of some snow on the ground RIGHT?!! But I sucked it up and let the girls bundle up and go play outside for about 20 minutes. They enjoyed their time and managed not to make a huge mess coming back inside! Of course the down side was it melted before the end of the day! Oh well they are calling for more white stuff later this week!
