The Rude Awakening

We were awoken rather early and rudely this morning. Around 6:40 am it started to rain harder and then to hail. The hail was so loud and lasted a long time that it woke everyone up. Granted I need to be up around 7 to ice the birthday cake for the skating party at 10 but this is not my kind of wakeup call!!! Kierstin and Adrienne thought the bathroom would be the best place to be. You really wondered if the roof and windows were going to survive the mess. Luckily we have only a couple of cracks in the vinyl framing around a couple windows and the gutters now have dents. David is firm that a garage if for cars so they did not suffer any damage. We saved some the the pieces and they ranged in size from nickel to half dollar. Really close to us people found golf ball sized!
