Ok so since we bought this house nearly 4 years ago we disliked the front door. It had no way for us to see who was on the other side and drilling into fiberglass to install a peep hole didn't sound like fun. We've been debating for sometime about door styles and colors. Memorial Day we decided on a design and color and were ready to go. 5 weeks to custom make a door, 3 hours to install, 9 hours to stain, and 3 hours to topcoat and wallah you have a brand new leaded glass, fiberglass door that provides more security and light to a very dark hallway. We are very pleased with the finished product although I am critical of the stain job. I'm certain it's a different shade (darker) on the inside but I've been told it's a lighting issue and that it looks amazing. Thought you'd like to see what we've kept ourselves busy with this month.
