Final Bird Update

Ok so the sad days have finally arrived. Our friends have left us. Over the weekend we observed much more wing stretching and flittering. So much so that the birds were chirping/squawking at each other for seeming taking up tooo much space. Monday was the day to wake up and find friends not in the nest. It was a sad day but they stayed in/above the yard for most of the day. It is wonderful to see them grow and develop and take flight but hard too. Monday they did not come back to nest after taking flight in the morning; however, Tuesday night yielded friends in the nest. Apparently, living on your own and taking care of yourself is hard work. So we all should be accepted back into mom and dad's house to be feed and cared for right? We have been 'blessed' with their appearance at least once a day, dive bombing us for being too close to the nest. They are never far off it seems but not the constant sight they were for 19 days. Oh well, we'll see if the mom and dad decided to do it again this year or next. We will not be taking down the nest, it just doesn't seem fair. -S

Wow, it is hard to believe that they grew up so fast! They are very pretty, too, and look just alike!!
